Deep breath and…laugh (revisited)
In honor of PBS airing tonight the ceremony of Will Ferrell receiving this year’s Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, I thought I’d share what I wrote about 2010’s recipient, Tina Fey.
One year ago, when I was trying to blog on Wordpress, I wrote the following:
…And what is it about? Why, comedy of course! And who better than Tina Fey getting The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize!

The whole event aired on PBS, which I have at the end of this post. The lineup is a who’s-who of SNL notables, including Steve Martin, Jon Hamm, Jimmy Fallon, Fred Armisen, Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Betty White, and Lorne Michaels. Since that’s over an hour long, and you might want to economize your time in smarter ways, do check out this clip of her acceptance speech. It’s witty, brilliant, and gracious.
Here’s the link to the full show. Definitely worth watching if you have nothing better to do tonight.
Watch Tina Fey: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize on PBS.
